Artist Statement
i am thinking about how to inhabit my humanity with as much dimension and courage as i can muster. i am thinking about how i inhabit my blackness, my womanness, my queerness and my citizenship through the lens of Love, Soul, and within the context of destructive distillation; i am interested in what can't not be made. i am interested in the deep and dimensional insistence to create, and in the connections that this insistence reinforces or denies. i am interested in the rituals, spaces, and activities that communities creative from and through circumstances of deep insistence, willful and skillful civil disobedience, and Love.
