Artist Statement
My practice is multidisciplinary, falling under the categories of sculpture, performance, and video. With a mix of humor and elbow grease, my work investigates the link between creativity and survival. I build shelters, boats, and develop off - grid technologies, from wood-powered film projectors to high arctic survival fashion; engaging with current cultural attitudes towards adaptation. Risk, vulnerability, and a conscious ecology underline all of my work and within this practice I aim to maintain a position of radical optimism.
