Artist Statement
For the past seven years I have worked with the words of Gertrude Stein. Using film, audio, billboards, bus shelters, printed matter, posters, paintings and photographs to engage and create a syntactical, visual, haptic lingual body of work. In getting close to Stein’s work in a way that indexes queer temporality I’m seeking to embody the way in which a hundred years becomes no distance at all when one queer body writes itself to another.
